The concept of Dutton Bits was introduced in 1976 when Greg Dutton made his first horse bit. Greg has a strong passion for making better horsemen who then make better horses. He believes this is accomplished through communication. Communication is a two-way conversation between you and your horse. It includes actively listening as well as making requests. The bridle bit is one of the main tools used in communicating with your horse. From colts to older horses, they all have something they can teach us about the bits we use. Greg rides with these bits every day, and is constantly striving for ways they can be improved.
